Great Getaway Fishing Trip

Great Getaway Fishing Trip

Lake Erie is a great getaway fishing trip location for smallmouth bass. It is a beautiful northern location that is cooler in the summer where you can catch quality and numbers of bass.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Dustin and Dillion traveling to the shores of Lake Erie for some excellent fishing. They wanted to get in before the summer ends on some of the great action going on.

The weather was steady all trip long but the waves started to pick up toward the end of the trip. Sometimes that helps the bite and it surely did.

Dustin and Dylan were excited to catch the numbers that they did. They had 30 plus smallmouth bass in their short trip out.

Drop shot with shad shaped worm along with a Yamato jig head in roughly 30 foot water was the most effective method on this trip. Areas from Shades beach to the Ws were also effective in catching the numbers that they did.

We had a fantastic day of fishing and I am looking forward to catching them again.
