Presque Isle Bay Bass Fishing

Presque Isle Bay Bass Fishing

Presque Isle Bay Bass Fishing is just getting started this season. It is that time of year the smallmouth bass are moving off the main lake and into their bedding grounds.

Today, I had the pleasure to fish with Jim and his brother in law Bob from Saint Mary’s, PA.

The conditions did not play in our favor all day. It was an extremely windy day but we still managed to catch about 20 quality smallmouth bass.

Unfortunately, we lost our two biggest fish at the boat. They were both well over 4 lbs.

Most of the day we fished jerk baits. A couple of fish came on drop shot as well. All the fish came from 5 ft of water or less.

These guys are looking forward to making this an annual event.

Captain George: For most of my life fishing has been a passion. Over the years I have fished bass tournaments across Pennsylvania and on lakes and rivers up and down the East Coast. I have participated in B.A.S.S., FLW Stren Series, Walmart BFL’s and ABA tournaments along with finishing 2nd in the 2012 Keystone Bass Classic on Lake Erie, to name a few.
