September Smallmouth Bass Fishing
Lake Erie in Pennsylvania has been on fire. September Smallmouth Bass Fishing is something we want you to experience since we are starting to catch the quality that we saw in the spring time.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Ryan traveling from Pittsburg. He has fished with me in Florida and now wanted to explore what Lake Erie had to offer.
The fishing has been really good. Interesting enough the bite has turned back on shallow. We firstly focused on shallow water in the 6 to 10 foot depth range. Bass were biting the spinner bait in chartreuse color.
Next, we moved into the deep water dragging along a tube in 35 to 40 foot of water. The water temperature has risen to 71 degrees moving some fish back deep.
Ryan caught right around 20 smallmouth bass with the biggest fish weighing 4 pounds 8 ounces. After going deep again, we moved shallow to focus in on some rock structures. The Hammermill plant area has been holding the best fish.
I am looking forward to fishing with Ryan again on Lake Okeechobee or Lake Erie. We had a fantastic time out on the water.
